Keaton races to her rescue, having to do all the sports that he had previously failed at. Hilarious.
THE FLYING DEUCES - 1939, 63 mins, B&W Starring: Laurel and Hardy, Jean Parker, Reginald Gardiner, James Finlayson Synopsis: Ollie's broken heart puts Laurel and Hardy in the Foreign Legion. They are assigned to laundry duty and before long the laundry goes up in smoke. They are eventually arrested for desertion and are sentenced to be shot. The pair escapes a firing squad by tunneling out, only to crash in a plane, resulting in a funny and touching end.
JACK AND THE BEANSTALK - 1952, 78 mins, B&W and Color Starring: Bud Abbott, Lou Costello, Dorothy Ford, Barbara Brown, Buddy Baer Synopsis: The feature version of the classic fairy tale has Costello falling asleep and dreams himself into world of Jack and the Beanstalk. Abbott and Costello end up climbing the magical vine and encountering a giant (Baer), the goose that lays the golden egg, and help a prince and princess in trouble. A wonderful film for the whole family and a classic for Abbott and Costello fans.
